Colby Nichols is an attorney and lobbyist whose practice focuses on government law and public finance. He has advised clients on elections, real estate, purchasing, construction, constitutional issues, and employment matters. Colby also serves as bond and disclosure counsel in a variety of financings.
In his lobbying practice, Colby represents clients before the Texas Legislature and state agencies on issues relating to education, taxation, healthcare, construction, public finance, economic development, and elections. He is widely recognized as a public speaker in the education field and is frequently invited to present to groups and initiatives across the state.
The son and grandson of Texas school superintendents, Colby began his career as an aide to former Texas State Representative Jimmie Don Aycock and later worked at Region VI Education Service Center, where he assisted school districts with grant writing, school improvement, and data analysis.
