John Hall

John Hall has more than 20 years of experience in public finance law, financial advisory, municipal finance and investment banking. His practice primarily focuses on serving as underwriters’ counsel on all types of issues, as well as, serving as bond counsel for Texas independent school districts in throughout the entire State of Texas.  John’s prior experience working as a public finance investment banker and financial advisor gives him unique perspective on all sides of a transaction. He has over 20 years of public finance law experience. John has served on public finance transactions totaling over $50 billion in aggregate par.

Prior to co-founding Cantu Harden Montoya LLP, John was Senior Counsel with Locke Lord LLP, a national Top 10 Bond Counsel firm, and Senior Counsel with Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP, a national Top 5 Bond Counsel firm.  Notably, he also served as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, Raymond James, William Blair, Baird and Estrada Hinojosa.
